Sizing The Claws

Before using them, you'll want to size them to fit your fingers. You'll only have to do this once. Most people size the Claws to fit on their fingertips, but some prefer them to sit just on or below the first knuckle. It's a personal preference. 

A ring mandrel (it's the wooden cone) was shipped with the claws and can be used as a sizing tool. If the claw is too small, you can slide and wiggle it down onto the mandrel to open up the ring and make it bigger. Or, if the claw is too big, you can carefully bend it with your fingers or pliers around the mandrel to make it smaller. If you need to use pliers, protect the claw with a cloth to avoid scratches and chips. I find that using the mandrel helps to maintain the shape of the claw as you adjust it. 

The Claws are to be sized for one owner and are not designed to be repeatedly adjusted between different users; the coating and metal could be damaged from repeated adjustments.
